Large Car Sales In America February 2015 YTD

During a month in which passenger car volume marginally decreased, February 2015 sales of full-size, volume brand cars slid 6%, a loss of more than 2800 units compared with February 2014.

Declines were measured by nearly two-thirds of the nameplates listed here. The exceptions escape the bonds of red font: Dodge Charger sales rose 16%, the Hyundai Azera was up 27%, Hyundai Genesis volume jumped 74%, and Toyota Avalon sales shot up 34%.

But with sharp declines from the Chevrolet Impala, Ford Taurus, and Nissan Maxima - among others - Americans continued to show their decreasing interest in big, non-luxury brand cars. Sales of these cars slid 8% in America in calendar year 2014.

Small And Midsize Luxury SUV Sales In Canada February 2015 YTD

In a class full of newer nameplates and fast-growing established nameplates, the Acura RDX topped the small premium crossover category in Canada in February 2015.

Audis Q5 was only six sales back. The BMW X3 and Lexus NX trailed by 129 and 151 units, respectively.

Lincoln earned just 6.6% of the segments sales with its MKC. Porsche reported its lowest-volume Canadian sales month so far with the Macan.

Land Rovers LR2, with only 10 February sales, made very clear that its nearly ready to be replaced by the Discovery Sport even as the Range Rover Evoque put up its second-best month ever, just five sales off the best-ever report from March 2013.
