2014 Honda Ridgeline has been around long enough that the unconventional appearance is no longer booming. But they never have either advanced or innovative. In contrast, the result of a compromise between the lines roots crossover utilities - there are some older Honda Pilot down - and the need for a pickup truck practicality. 

So you have a high, bluff, truck-like front end grafted onto the several doors that look like those of a crossover suburban soccer mom, ending in a short pickup bed. Side of the bed is not horizontal; to provide the necessary structural rigidity, they tilt towards the same side of the tilted pillar behind the rear door. The top of the truck is lower than the lowest point of the side of the bed - that it helps the driver in the car behind the truck look through this high, but it still looks odd, as if the tailgate of the vehicle is shorter been installed by mistake. 

Inside, the Ridgeline is much more fun. Dashboard is conventional, and placed in the state-of-the-art Honda Format of a decade ago - think the last generation of the Pilot crossover. Climate-control and audio knobs can be operated even greater when wearing work gloves, and controls stacked in a rectangular bin. Door handle odd shapes is one of the few sour notes in the interior: They are not easy to take and operate.
